Why would a course in marketing be helpful even if you don't pursue marketing as a career?
I think that a course in marketing is definitely very helpful even if you don’t pursue a marketing career. For one you learn a great deal of information that you can use in your everyday life. For example you learn about how marketers get the customers attention. It is also helpful because we are surrounded by marketing every day through commercials, television, advertisements, and even the radio. So having the knowledge of how the marketers try to get the consumers, we as consumers can make better decisions when purchasing products. You also learn skills like the way people think when purchasing products and can learn how to communicate with customers and workers better. All of these skills can not only be helpful in your basic everyday life, but can also be very helpful in other careers that you can pursue. What do you think is the most important skill you can learn in a marketing class, if not pursing a marketing career?
