Think of yourself
as a "product". Describe the other 3 P's of the marketing mix
-- that is, how will you market yourself to a potential employer.
Product: If I am
the product and I’m trying to sell myself for a job position then the first
thing that I would do is make sure that I am completely prepared. I would make
a resume with not mistakes. I would research about the company that I am applying
for so I know about the position I am trying to get. I would tell them my strengths
and what I have to offer; like that I am motivated and ambitious and committed
to my jobs.
Place: As for
place, I would tell them that I’m a graduate from college and young so would be
willing to travel since nothing would be holding me back, and am excited for
the experience.
Promotion: I would
again tell them that I am a graduate from college, and tell them what I have
been involved in to share my experience and what I have learned with
co-workers.
Price: As a graduating
college student I wouldn’t be asking for a large salary that other more experienced
workers might be demanding. I would tell them that I’m just trying to get my
foot in the door with more experience so wouldn’t demand big salary at first.
What P do you think
is the most importing in the hiring process?
