Brands in Danger


Brands are very important to customers. Some have been around for a while like Coca-Cola, where customers share that loyalty with that brand. I tried taking a look at brands that were going to disappear in the years to come. After reading an article that showed some popular brands that are or have gone bankrupt these were two that stuck out to me.
                                     
Blockbuster- I remember Blockbuster being this big hit. My friends and I would go to the store every weekend and rent a movie for about 5 dollars. It was the national leading rental industry for almost 2 decades. However Blockbuster lost 65 million last quarter, and still was continuing to fall because of Redbox and NetFlix. Blockbuster was known for its physical locations for renting and that was abolished when all these new was to watch movies without leaving your home came into play.
T-Mobile- This is another brand that is in danger. First T-Mobile in the number 4 cellular company in the American Market. However the American Market really only support two brands AT&T and Verizon. It faces three larger competitors, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Also T-mobile does not offer 4G service, which is needs if it wants to compete with the other brands.  As of now it is rumored that T-Mobile has no future in the U.S. However one alternative that has been mentioned is to merge with Sprint, which has been mentioned.
